Our Team

  • Muriel Merser

Muriel Merser is a playwright, poet, translator, and overall theatrically-oriented mythology nerd living in the foothills of the Austrian alps. She is a feminist theurge who draws from a variety of pantheons and theological/philosophical traditions, usually with a nod toward hermeticism and existentialism – and as one might expect from all that, she is generally one of those turtleneck-wearing artsy lesbian types who listens to post-punk and has too many opinions on red wine and german expressionism. Most recently, she's collaborated with Nico on a collection of hymns to Brigantiâ.

  • Creig’H’ton D. Arial II

To share the deep wonder and awe found in my interaction with the Duwiau, the playful childlike peace and fear that can bubble to my mind as I happen upon the spirits of this world, or the deep sense of responsibility and immeasurable pride brought from honoring the ancestors of both kin and of those Great Pagans of history, all reasons to write for Albion and Beyond and a choice I am honored for. For most of my pagan writing and efforts I have kept private, and this is now my chance to share that with the greater community.

With pleasure, I am Creig’H’ton D. Arial II. Born and lived throughout the American west, now set in the mountains of the Southwest. I’ve not been an active pagan for long, in truth not more than two years. Though I always was a student of history, culture, and the practices of the ancients of Europe. Mostly through a lens of academic curiosity. Through the trials and tribulations of life, I finally came to a place where I proudly and openly practice as such, and thus I look forward with true anticipation to write for this site.

I give reverence and service to the Duwiau Brigantia, Andraste, Andreigogo (Heracles using a welsh translation of his name Glory to Hera - ie. Glory to Andraste) Alator, Callirius, Tawr du Mawr (The black Bull as the sacrificial bull), Y Brenin Afal (A Welshification of the Germanic apple deity of England), Gwyllt Mochus (The Great Boar), and Cunomaglus.

Blessings and kind favors of the Gods, Spirits, and Ancestors to you.

  • Nico Solheim-Davidson

Nico Solheim-Davidson, also known by his mantle “North Sea Poet”, is a poet and Heathen and Brittonic Polytheist living on the Yorkshire Coast. He has written a series of books, primarily consisting of poetry inspired by myths and the gods, with one of his most recent works being Brigantia: Songs of the Exalted, which he co-authored with Muriel Merser.

Nico also runs a blog called Lay of the North Sea where he writes about various deities and other topics relating to Heathenry, Brittonic Polytheism, and his own practice. Nico's practice primarily consists of veneration around a handful of Heathen deities, a couple of nymphs as well as other local spirits, Venus in her chthonic form, as well as the Brittonic deities that are Brigantia, Andraste, and Maponos. Before incorporating Brittonic Polytheism into his practice, Nico was a Norse-leaning Heathen, having previous delved into Wicca, Mormonism, and Druidry.
