This page is dedicated to the holidays celebrated by the community, either as individuals or as groups. Brittonic polytheists, or those interested in the tradition, will be able to get a broad overview of the diverse celebrations practiced by the community and hopefully find a niche within that which suits them.

  • 29th March - The Flowers of Creiddylad

    A festival honouring Creiddylad as a Brythonic Goddess of flowers and fertility.

May

  • 1st May - The Battle of Gwyn and Gwythyr

    A festival focusing on the battle between Gwyn ap Nudd and Gwythyr ap Greidol for Creiddylad.

August

  • 1st of August, Kalann Agustos

    The Kalends of August, or the first of August, was a time of feast and meeting at Lugdunum, and is celebrated by Sepanioi Roti as a Gallo-Brittonic holiday.

  • 31st of August, Litus Maponī

    Litus Maponī, the feast of Maponos, is a holiday dedicated to Maponos, dated to the dedication of an altar (RIB 583). It is a time of celebration for all things arts, especially poetry.

September

  • 29th September - Gwyn's Feast

    A festival honouring Gwyn ap Nudd with offerings of a feast of pork and apples with mead and poetry readings.

October

  • 31st October - Gwyn's Hunt

    A festival honouring Gwyn ap Nudd as He rides out on His hunt for the souls of the dead.

  • 26th December to 6th of January - Twelve Days of Devotion to Gwyn ap Nudd

    Twelve days of devotion to Gwyn ap Nudd spent in prayer, meditation, contemplation, journeywork and devotional creativity.

Lunar Holidays

  • First New Moon following the Spring Equinox - Boudiwaris

    A time for making new plans or sowing the seeds of new things, to celebrate the victories and successes of the last year, and to acknowledge the hurts and pains of the early stages of the healing process, essentially shaking off that which binds us to the pains of the past.

Astrological Holidays

  • Winter Solstice - Winter King

    A celebration of the Winter Solstice honouring Gwyn ap Nudd as our Brythonic Winter King.
